The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), South-East, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has commended Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for urging Nigerian women to vote for APC candidates from the presidential level down to the state and local government levels in the 2027 general elections.

Arodiogbu described the First Lady’s call as timely, strategic and consistent with the broader position of the APC Progressive Governors, who have continued to mobilise Nigerians to support the party and vote APC from top to bottom in the forthcoming elections.

According to the National Vice Chairman, the convergence of the First Lady’s message with the position of the Progressive Governors demonstrates a growing commitment within the APC to building a strong, united and coordinated electoral structure capable of delivering the party’s candidates at all levels.

Speaking against the backdrop of the APC Women Stakeholders Mobilisation Summit in Abuja, Arodiogbu said Senator Oluremi Tinubu had demonstrated political leadership by drawing attention to the critical role of women in determining the outcome of the 2027 elections.

Addressing women leaders, stakeholders and party faithful at the summit, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, urged APC women across the country to intensify their mobilisation and ensure that the party receives strong support at every level.

The First Lady emphasised the importance of women’s participation in the electoral process and called for unity and commitment towards the success of the APC.

“I urge our women to continue to mobilise and support the APC. Let us vote for our party from top to bottom and ensure that our votes count at every level. Together, we can strengthen our party and contribute to building a better Nigeria.”

Reacting to the First Lady’s message, Arodiogbu said her call had injected fresh energy into the party’s women mobilisation structures and reinforced the message already being championed by APC Progressive Governors across the country.

“The First Lady has once again demonstrated leadership by calling on our women to vote APC from top to bottom. Her message aligns perfectly with the position of our Progressive Governors, who have been mobilising Nigerians to support the APC and vote for our candidates across all levels of government.”

He added that the call was particularly significant because women constitute a critical component of Nigeria’s electorate and remain central to effective grassroots mobilisation.

“Our women are the backbone of grassroots mobilisation. When they are properly organised and fully engaged, the message of the APC can reach every ward, polling unit and community.

“The convergence of the First Lady’s message with that of our Progressive Governors gives us an even stronger platform for mobilisation. We must take this message to every community and ensure that APC candidates receive the support required to continue the progressive transformation of our country.”

Arodiogbu urged APC women leaders across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to translate the First Lady’s call into sustained grassroots engagement, voter education and community mobilisation.

He said the party must continue to communicate the policies, programmes and achievements of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Nigerians, while encouraging citizens to participate actively in the democratic process.

_According to him, voting APC from top to bottom would provide greater political alignment between the Federal Government, state governments and local government structures, thereby creating an environment for more effective implementation of progressive policies and development programmes._

The APC National Vice Chairman also called on party members to remain united, disciplined and committed to the collective objective of securing victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.

The summit brought together women leaders and stakeholders from across the country and focused on strengthening women’s participation in politics, enhancing grassroots mobilisation and promoting greater unity within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Arodiogbu reaffirmed that women would remain at the centre of the APC’s mobilisation strategy, expressing confidence that the combined efforts of the First Lady, Progressive Governors, party leaders and grassroots structures would significantly strengthen the APC ahead of the polls.

_“The message is clear and the direction is united: APC from top to bottom. Our task is now to take this message to every ward, every polling unit and every community across Nigeria and mobilise Nigerians for a stronger and more prosperous nation,” Arodiogbu said._
